Athens, Greece | 5–6 March 2026
The 1st Plenary Meeting of the HIVE Project was successfully held in Athens, Greece, on 5–6 March 2026. The meeting was hosted by the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and brought together representatives from all project partners for two days of productive discussions, knowledge exchange, and strategic planning.
As the first plenary meeting of the project, the event represented an important milestone for the HIVE consortium. Partners had the opportunity to meet, review the progress achieved so far, discuss ongoing activities, and define the next steps for the successful implementation of the project. The meeting provided a valuable space for partners to align their work, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration across the consortium.

During the two-day meeting, partners shared updates on the different work packages and discussed key upcoming tasks, priorities, and timelines. The discussions focused on ensuring strong coordination between all partners and maintaining a common understanding of the project’s objectives, expected outcomes, and long-term vision.
A key highlight of the meeting was the participation of HIVE’s sister projects, MULTIPULM and M-CARE, which were invited to join the plenary meeting both online and onsite. Their participation offered an important opportunity for the HIVE consortium to meet representatives from related projects funded under the same Horizon Europe call, learn more about their work, and explore areas of common interest.
The exchange with MULTIPULM and M-CARE supported meaningful discussions around potential synergies and future collaboration. By sharing experiences, project approaches, and planned activities, the participating projects were able to identify opportunities to work together and build stronger links across initiatives addressing multiple long-term conditions and health system challenges.
The meeting also reinforced the importance of collaboration, both within the HIVE consortium and with sister projects working toward complementary goals. These connections are essential for maximizing impact, avoiding duplication of efforts, and supporting the wider exchange of knowledge and good practices across European research and innovation projects.

Overall, the 1st Plenary Meeting in Athens marked an important step forward for the HIVE Project. It strengthened partner cooperation, supported strategic planning, and created new opportunities for collaboration with sister projects.
